Value Proposition

The Leasing Quotation API provides the services needed to handle a quotation for a set of assets to be financed. After the customer accepts the offered conditions, the quotation is submitted to become a proposal.

Key Features

The main service is the creation of a leasing quotation: given a list of assets to finance and the desired conditions, it returns an instalment amount.

The other services allow access to an existing quotation (e.g. to check on its status), deletion of an existing quotation and generation of a summary in PDF format.

Conditions

The available conditions for a quotation include (applicable depending on the program agreed upon with the partner):

• Monthly, quarterly and annual periodicity for the installments
• Payment at the beginning or end of each term
• Financing of services and insurances
• Promotions
• Various options, such as:
  • Down and balloon payments
  • Custom payment schedules
  • Grace periods and payment delays
  • Commissions and subsidies
  • Collection of services and insurances fees on behalf of the partner
  • ...

Quotation status

The various status of a quotation are as follow:

• DRAFT: initiated, pending additional information to make a calculation.
• PENDING: created, completed and calculated (the proposed payment schedule is available).
• SHARED: shared with the customer (through BPLS systems).
• SUBMITTED: accepted by the customer and submitted for BPLS approval, it cannot be changed anymore.
• EXPIRED: the quotation is no longer valid, after a preset delay (e.g. 90 days).

Events

The following events generate a notification (see Notification Subscription for details).

• Creation (of a new quotation)
• Update (of an existing quotation), including a change of status
• Deletion (of an existing quotation)

Important note

In future versions, an additional service to update an existing quotation will be added.

Prerequisites

Before using the provided services, one or more "programs" must be defined by BPLS to handle the contractual characteristics of any partnership. The "program" will specify the range of conditions applicable to the quotation requests (e.g. one program may accept monthly installments whereas another one would also accept quarterly instalments). Please contact your BPLS representative to get the name of the program(s) that you should use when requesting a quotation.

In addition, a configuration step is required to synchronize the product references and the points of sales identifiers between the partner's and BPLS' systems during setup.

Use Cases

Create a leasing quotation when the customer has decided on the conditions (e.g., duration...) for the assets they wish to finance.
