The Customer API provides the services required to handle the customer details on a leasing proposal and contract and the persons authorized to sign a contract in their name.

Key features

The main service allows the creation of a customer (in the BPLS systems). In this initial version, only registered companies are accepted, therefore the creation is based on the companies national identifier, all details being retrieved from the relevant reference databases.

In the future, another service will allow the partner to execute preliminary eligibility checks on the customer, to early prevent further processing a financing request that will ultimately be rejected. In this initial version, a service lets the partner requests the customer information required to perform the pre-eligibility checks.

Other services offer two options to retrieve a customer (along with all the details available) and its authorized signatories (for the selection of the actual signatory or signatories on the contract).

Use cases

The creation of a customer is required to submit a quotation to BPLS for decision. Therefore it must be done before creating a proposal.

The creation of a customer is based on a national identifier: when registering the customer in BPLS systems, the identifier is checked against the local reference databases.

In the future, the pre-eligibility check service will allow to filter out early any financing request that would ultimately be rejected. Initially, the partner will access the risk data to perform the checks themselves.

A list of authorized signatories is associated to every customer registered in BPLS systems. When submitting a contract for signature, the signatory or signatories must be selected within this list.
